Climate Tech made in Spain: innovating for a sustainable future

Barcelona continued to strengthen its role as a key hub for climate innovation. In the second edition of Climate Dialogues, entitled “ClimateTech Made in Spain”, visionary entrepreneurs, investors, and experts gathered to discuss the potential of Climate Tech in Spain.
Organized by Inclimo Climate Tech Fund, BStartup by Banco Sabadell, Zubi Labs, and Norrsken Barcelona, the event placed the spotlight on the enormous potential of Spanish climate technologies. Discussions covered disruptive solutions in renewable energy and mobility, as well as advances in circular economy and sustainable proptech.
A vibrant ecosystem of climate innovation
The session included insights from leading investors such as Mario Sancho (Kira Ventures), Alberto Toril Castro (Breakthrough Energy), Natalia Medianero Aldaba (Net Zero Ventures), and Alejandro Pardo (Inclimo Climate Tech Fund).
Attendees also heard inspiring stories from climate entrepreneurs making an impact in Spain: Ion Padilla (Wegaw), Octavi Uyà (Woodea), Mónica Rodríguez (Recovo), Paloma Martín (Hoop Carpool), Luis Medina (Tether – Techstars ’23), and Pol Valls & Alejandro Martí (Submer & Mitiga Solutions).
Moderators Yolanda Pérez Sáez and Laurent Arens van de Perre (BStartup), alongside Joaquim López Caussa (Zubi Labs), guided the discussions. A jury of experts —Rocío Alcocer (Norrsken Barcelona), Jaime de Antonio (Ship2B Ventures), and Jorge Blasco (LUMO Labs)— added their perspective on opportunities in the sector.
