Climate Dialogue 4
Mobilizing capital and innovation to accelerate the climate transition

On July 24, more than a hundred people gathered at Impact Hub Barcelona for the fourth edition of Climate Dialogues, under the theme “Mobilizing capital and innovation to accelerate the climate transition”. Promoted by Inclimo Climate Tech Fund, Zubi Capital, BStartup by Banco Sabadell, and Impact Hub Barcelona, the event became a key platform for strategic discussions on the present and future of the Climate Tech ecosystem in Spain.
Two sessions to spark real conversations
- The first session, moderated by Joaquim López (Zubi Labs), focused on impact investing to scale climate solutions, with contributions from Carmen Pumariño (Zubi Capital), Laurent Arens van de Perre (BStartup), Xavier Pont (Ship2B Ventures), and Alex Pardo (Inclimo Climate Tech Fund).
- The second session, moderated by Irene Tarradellas, featured Beatriz Mesas (Incapto) and Alex Raventós (X1 Wind), who shared lessons on scaling sustainable technologies from Spain to global markets, highlighting the importance of aligning purpose, scalability, and team strength.
Four key takeaways for the ecosystem
According to Fernando Casado (Inclimo), four main lessons emerged:
- Europe must lead Climate Tech thanks to regulation, ambition, and talent.
- Pragmatic resilience: maintaining climate commitment through action, even amid global setbacks.
- People make the difference: investors value founders with vision, execution, and strong values.
- Rigor matters: the sector requires clear metrics, risk management, and genuine project support.
A community in the making
More than an event, Climate Dialogue 4 marked another step in building a Climate Tech community in Southern Europe. The session also fostered new connections and collaborations already taking shape.
With previous editions focused on impact metrics and sector trends, this edition reaffirmed the program’s mission: to be a strategic meeting point for those building the future of Climate Tech.
